Stephen in discussion with resident

Stephen asks local resident about the key issues

Stephen has substantial press, radio and TV experience. He has often been called on to be a spokesman for the Liberal Democrats, or as a committee chairman on the county or local council, or in his various work roles over the years.

As a writer of election-winning leaflets, Stephen knows how to put across an effective message that will win support.

Stephen has been reaching out to new audiences with ideas such as email newsletters on campaign issues and his web-log - http://chelmsford-stephenrobinson.blogspot.com

He is committed to using all the various ways of keeping in touch.

Consulting and developing

Stephen is committed to involving members, supporters and the widest possible number of local residents in campaigns. Stephen created email groups for Chelmsford Lib Dem supporters to improve communication and edits regular bulletins.

He pushed for the local Lib Dem policy review to be as wide and inclusive as possible. He has been asking members and the public for their three wishes for Chelmsford. See http://chelmsford-libdems.org.uk/news/000102.html

To win, the Lib Dems need more members and helpers. Nearly 150 people have joined Chelmsford Lib Dems in the last couple of years. You can join or offer support here: http://chelmsford-libdems.org.uk/user/register.html

Stephen helped set up and develop the Chelmsford Lib Dem Youth & Student branch, with stalls at three freshers' fairs.

He led his District council group (1993-96) from three Councillors up to 16. He is part of the team working to win control of Chelmsford Borough in 2007.
